EDIT: Added some new rules.
We’ve been running for almost a week now, and as we’re expanding, we’re going to need rules to keep everything from falling into a chaotic void of madness and unhappiness. We’ve tried to make them as reasonable as possible, but there are some things we really can’t accept. If your work doesn't follow the rules, it will be removed fro the group.
THE RULES
This is an ART group. This means that we will accept any kind of creative and artistic work here that YOU made yourself, possibly with others in collaboration. What we don’t consider as artistic are regular game screenshots, desktops, screenshots of conversations, … However, if the screenshot is for example to show off something you made in a game that allow you to be creative (A Sims house, a Minecraft base), these are allowed.
Nudity is art. Porn is not. As long as your submission has the proper mature filter on it, a naked lady is not a problem at all. Art should have no limits, but our younger members don’t need to be forced to see it. Just don’t introduce us to the dark, moist corners of the artistic community. (All couples are fine, and as long as you don’t show anything the average person would throw up from, it’s fine.)
Be original. Play it fair. Don’t steal another user’s work. Don’t trace or use a base you’re not authorized to use. If we find you have stolen, you can still get a second chance by removing the piece and apologizing to the user.
Respect each other’s art, even if you don’t agree with it. If a piece with a strong opinion is submitted, no matter what your point of view on this, you cannot bash the user or their art. In this case, it is best just to ignore the piece and move on. There. No drama required.
Submit to the right folder. With a lot of incoming artwork, it is difficult for the admins to sort each and every piece. You are given the freedom to submit pieces to the folder deem right for your work. Hurray! For the folder guidelines, see this journal: [link]
Submit finished work. We would like to see the finished version of your work! WIP’s are not allowed here, unless you’re doing a ‘These are the steps’ guide. Do note, even sketches can be finished.
Respect your fellow artist. Positive criticism and is supportive comments are there to help people, but flames and vulgar language will not be tolerated. If one of our members is harassing you, feel free to let the group know.
Keep your submissions clean. No smudgy or blurry pictures, pictures that were scanned badly or where the note block is still visible. We may not have any quality requirements regarding your art level, but the least one could do is submit a picture that has been scanned or photographed properly.
Feel free to note the group with any suggestions or questions considering the rules!
